Formed in a volcanic eruption around 75,000 years ago, Lake Toba was the largest in 25 million years. It is 100 km long and 30 km wide, and 505 m at its deepest level. As one of beautiful and unique place to visit in Indonesia, Lake Toba is just a few hours drive from MEDAN, Indonesia’s third largest city. To reach Medan you can flight directly from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Jakarta and Singapore.
Lake Toba is home to the Batak people who have a unique, interesting culture. The Batak people are mostly Christian, very friendly and welcoming, they also love music and singing.
Regularly, ferries depart from Parapat to Samosir (an island which located at the center of the lake) . Most of the hotels and guesthouses are located in the area of Tuk Tuk on Samosir Island.

Day to day itinerary :
DAY 01. MEDAN PARAPAT. (SILINTONG / TOLEDO INN)
Upon arrival at Polonia Airport pick up by our Tour Guide and then
transfer to Local restaurant for lunch, after lunch drive to Parapat
(about 5 hours) via Tebingtinggi and stop will be made at several
plantation for rubber, cocoa and oil palm, arrival at Parapat crossing
to Samosir Island by Ferry boat (about 20 - 30 minutes) and arrival
at Samosir Island check in to hotel.
DAY 02. SAMOSIREXCURSION-BERASTAGI.(GRAND MUTIARA / BERASTAGI
COTTAGE)
After breakfast excursion on Lake Toba by car or ferry boat, visiting
several interesting Batak Toba traditional villages : Tomok : To
see the old Tomb of Sidabutar Kings. Ambarita : To see stone chair
and table stone the execution places of Sialagan Kings. After lunch
in drive to Brastagi about 4 hours drive, on the way visit RUMAH
BOLON (Long House) the old Palace of Batak Simalungun Kings and
Sipiso-piso water fall, arrival at Brastagi visiting fruit market
at Batak Karo traditional village at PECEREN, late afternoon check
in to hotel.
DAY 03. BERASTAGI MEDAN AIRPORT.
After breakfast drive to Medan via Sibolangit and Sembahe, arrival
at Medan directly transfer to Airport for your flight to next destination.
